Rone Residences Named 2026 HBJ Landmark Awards Multifamily Finalist

Redefining density and street engagement at the intersection of Kirby and Westheimer.

Ziegler Cooper Architects is proud to announce that Rone Residences has been named a Multifamily Finalist in the 2026 Houston Business Journal Landmark Awards, which recognize real estate projects that make a lasting impression on Houston’s built environment.

Located at the intersection of Kirby Drive and Westheimer Road, Rone Residences is a 12‑story, 209‑unit luxury apartment community that introduces a refined residential presence to the Upper Kirby/River Oaks area. Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, the building responds to its highly visible urban site with an architectural language that balances civic presence, neighborhood scale, and long‑term livability.

The design prioritizes generous floor plans, natural light, and a boutique residential experience, while integrated amenities and ground‑level retail strengthen street engagement and walkability. The building’s massing and material composition were carefully calibrated to respect the character of the surrounding neighborhood while contributing to the area’s increasing density and urban vitality.

Rone Residences was developed by High Street Residential and built by Hoar Construction, with interiors by Rottet Studio and landscape architecture by Kudela & Weinheimer.

Recognition as a Landmark Awards finalist reflects the strength of the collaborative team and reinforces ZCA’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful, contextually grounded multifamily design in Houston and beyond.
