Christ the Incarnate Word

Houston, TX

Christ the Incarnate Word Church was one of the fastest-growing Catholic communities in the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese. Founded in 1998, the parish grew from 300 to more than 1,500 families (over 6,000 parishioners), becoming the largest Vietnamese Catholic community in Houston.

By the early 2010s, the existing 25,000-square-foot sanctuary building, which seated 1,000, was no longer sufficient to accommodate the parish’s growing congregation. In 2018, the Church engaged ZCA to redesign its facilities, adding 8,500 square feet of worship and administrative spaces.

The completed renovation provided an additional 550 seats in the sanctuary and introduced new dedicated spaces to support parish administration, including a reception area, offices, and conference rooms. The project also delivered significant interior enhancements and brought the facility into compliance with current codes and safety standards. This renovation positioned Christ the Incarnate Word Church to continue serving its expanding parish community for years to come.
