Project Architect/Job Captain - Workplace Interiors

Ziegler Cooper Architects is seeking a highly motivated Project Architect/Job Captain to join our Workplace Interiors Studio. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of professional experience in the preparation of construction drawings and coordination of corporate interior projects. This individual will play a key role in translating design concepts into fully realized, buildable documents while coordinating closely with project architects, designers, and consultants.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of construction documents for corporate interior projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project design intent.

  • Coordinate with project managers, interior designers, and consultants to integrate all building systems and maintain consistency across disciplines.

  • Manage the technical documentation process, including plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules.

  • Participate in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site observations as needed.

  • Review and apply applicable building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards to ensure compliance.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff in technical drawing standards and best practices.

  • Maintain clear communication with the project team to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture from an accredited program.

  • 8–10 years of professional experience in architecture or interior architecture, with a focus on corporate interiors.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related visualization and documentation tools.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, detailing, and materials specific to commercial interiors.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Architectural licensure not required, but progress toward licensure is encouraged.
