Tempe, Arizona
Tempe 5th and Ash is a mixed-use urban development designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects to create a vibrant, walkable destination in the heart of central Tempe.
Providing both architectural design and master planning services, Ziegler Cooper developed an integrated mixed-use environment that combines high-rise residential, office, retail, and hospitality uses within a cohesive urban setting.
The development features an office tower with ground-level retail and a high-rise apartment tower anchored by a grocery tenant at the first level. Emphasizing pedestrian connectivity and an active public realm, the design brings together a diverse mix of uses and amenities that support daily activity and enhance the downtown Tempe experience. Through a comprehensive planning approach, the project integrates its various components into a unified destination that responds to the surrounding urban context while establishing a strong sense of place.
