Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church serves Cypress, Texas and the greater Galveston-Houston diocese. HBL Architects was selected to develop a Master Plan for multi-phase development of their facility expansion. Phase One included a new 1,600-seat worship building, remodeled parish hall, and complete nursery facilities. The new two-story education building including a parish library, religious education offices, classrooms and a youth suite was developed as Phase Two, completed in 2013. The Master Plan design provided numerous prayer gardens, landscaped courtyards, two playgrounds and more parking. Renovations were proposed to accommodate administration, adult education, music department and two chapels: one chapel for daily mass and another for children’s liturgy and perpetual adoration.
