The Broadway
The design for this luxury residential high-rise is guided by the ideals of strength, elegance and timelessness. The overall appearance of the architecture will be that of a San Antonio building, clad in stone with deep set windows and employing soft earth tone colors. Contextually, the design of the building responds to the jog on Broadway with a soft curve in the building´s facade which acknowledges the tower as a focal point and an important transition building leading into the more urban corridor of downtown San Antonio. The tower design combines the richness of stone with the elegant detailing of stainless steel, glass and aluminum to provide a timeless design expression. The articulation of the building´s facade breaks it down into a distinct base, middle and top. Careful attention has been given to the building´s proportion, color, texture and pattern which will be highlighted and enriched by San Antonio´s strong southern sun.
Of equal importance to the tower design, is the treatment of the ground plane, which creates a strong urban edge along Broadway and Hildebrand. This urban edge will be paved in stone and bordered by a promenade of Bald Cypress trees and softly terraced landscaping stepping up to the building´s ground floor. The arrival sequence to the building´s front door will be approached through a lushly landscaped motor court and accented by an inviting water feature to welcome home all the residents. The tower will also feature a beautifully landscaped private courtyard and gardens centered around a large lounge pool. Surrounding the pool and gardens, the residents will enjoy a well shaded outdoor living room, an outdoor kitchen and a verandah for year round use.
